Some times many bloggers argue this topic.Nowadays most of bloggers choose their blog in Blogger or WordPress.Because both sites give nice features for users.Sometimes you are not familiar with blogs.Blogs is the word which comes as a broken word from Web log(Web log= We b+log).Because it’s easy to speak blog than the term web log.So anyone can start digital journal in the world wide web.That’s a simple description to introduce about the blogs.I guess you have some knowledge in blogs or your an expert in blogs.
Let see my comparison of Blogger and WordPress
For Newbies :
Blogger is the most recommended site to start blogging .Because it’s very easy to understand.But in wordpress,the user should have a some knowledge in web technologies.
Hosting type :
Blogger provides a completely free hosting .It gives a domain like “your-choice.blogspot.com” by default.You can also select a different domain name.
But in the wordpress needs a hosting area.
(or free service like “your-choice.wordpress.com”).But wordpress gives a variety of services than blogger.
If your an intermediate or expert in blog,you should use wordpress.
Indexing in Google :
Blogger is rapid way to index in google compare with wordpress.Because Blogger is a part of in Google.All of the servers in Blogger are hosted in Google.Therefore The blogs in Blogger are indexed well in Google.That’s a great chance to build a huge traffic to the blog within small time.
Eg : This blog is also used Blogger.So it’s indexed in top 10 results in many queries.(“adsense ad unit” , “add sitemap blogger” , “top antivirus software in 2007” etc..)
Comment type : In this case wordpress gives nice way to do comment.Therefore most bloggers in wordpress get many comments in a post.Because Blogspot gives a pop-up window to do a comment.it’s great chance to wordpress bloggers.
Plugins : Plugin is a tool which proves extra services.In this case wordpress gives this chance to bloggers.Because it’s an open source,so many programmers develop a variety of plugins for different tasks.That’s why WordPress is popular with bloggers.But in blogspot,it allows to add page elements.It’s a good alternative to add extra features to the blog.
Template : Template is done a major part in blogging.Because it’s the base of the layout of the blog.In this case WordPress has a huge collection of templates than blogspot.Because of the characteristics in open source,wordpress allows to modify the templates.In blogspot also can be done it!.
But wordpress templates have a very nice look and many difference formats are available.
blogger is now not so good as wordpress in case of features..But now its in the hands of google.So there is no doubt that it will gain the upperhand soon.Now the Beta blogger is introduced with much better facilities than the old blogger..They will soon have more features on blogspot.Waiting for those to get them implemented in my blogspot blog Simple Tricks
