There are 2 ways to run a speed test, you can either call your internet provider and ask them to test your line. This will take minute and out from this they can tell you what?s wrong and what you or they can do to make it better. He other thing you can do is to go online and take a speed test there, this will however only tell you your upload and download speed it will not tell you what is wrong id your internet speed is slow.
If the broadband company don?t find anything wrong with your connection in their end it could be that some of the cables to your modem are loose etc. The best way to fix this is to unplug all contacts and re-plug them again. This will re-start your modem which is a good thing in these cases and you will know that it is nothing wrong with the cables. Once your computer is up and running well and fast again write down what you did so you can repeat the same process next time.
