RSS is a web feed used to publish frequently updated content.When you surfing World Wide Web you should familiar with above image.
As a probable internet like you have to keep with your favorite web sites.You may find those web sites updating or not!.So you can’t visit all of those web sites at instance.
That’s the reason to play with a RSS feed.
Rss means,
* Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
* RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
* Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
It’s used to track all of web sites with dynamic content(Updating frequently) in everyday.So you need to subscribe as a reader to one of the feed in a web site.
Then you need a Feed Reader(Aggregater) to track the updating informations and read those articles.
Currently you can use An Online feed reader or Feeder software.
For an example Google Reader.It’s very simple to use and maintaining.
If you have a blog,news site or podcasting site.Then you can add a RSS feed to your web site.You can also use your default configuration.But I recommend to use third party tool.Because it may provides many services than default configuration.There are many tools online.I use FeedBurner to set up my RSS feed.Because it’s very easy to configure even a newbie to web2 technologies.
